Call Your Congressmen Before US Military Action in Syria

Call your Congressmen to oppose US military action in Syria where hundreds of thousands of Sunnis, Shi’a, Alawite, Christians, and Jews along with their sacred sites, are under threat. Support for war in Syria is against the interests of the American people.

If the United States involvement in unavoidable, despite the discontent of the American public with this course of action, we implore the government to protect the religious sites in Syria.

Call your Congressmen requesting the shrine of Sayyidah Zaynab, the shrine of Sayyida Sakina, Ummayad Mosque (Grave of John the Baptist), and Bab al-Saghir (tombs or various Saints) be placed on the MILITARY PROTECTED TARGET LIST.

“Hello. I am calling to ask Congressman __________ not to support the vote in Congress for war in Syria. If the United States involvement in unavoidable, despite the discontent of the American public with this course of action, we implore the government to protect the religious sites in Syria. If the vote goes through [which I strongly oppose], assure the following 4 Holy Shrines on the MILITARY PROTECTED TARGETS LIST. They are called the The Mausoleum of Zaynab, Sayyidah Ruqayya Mosque, Bab al-Saghir, and Ummayad Mosque. [Provide the Latitude and Longitude coordinates below] Thank you.”
