Laughter for Liberation: A Night of Comedy and Compassion for Palestine

Join us for an extraordinary evening where laughter unites with heartfelt support for a vital cause. Muslims4Peace proudly presents the 6th Annual Muslim Comedy Festival, a special “Muslims Are Coming” show, reimagined as a night of “Comedy & Community Storytelling for Palestine.”

Following the blessings of Ramadan and the joyous celebration of Eid, we invite you to a night of laughter, solidarity, and impactful support.

What to Expect:

Halal-arious Comedy: Prepare for an unforgettable evening with comedic brilliance from Jeremy McLellan, Mohanad Elshieky, Nina Kharoufeh, Suzie Afridi, Sabeen Sadiq, and more. Expect clean, uproarious comedy that will leave you in stitches!

A Culinary Delight: From 6:00 PM, indulge in a delectable reception featuring appetizers and a full dinner.

Expressions of Hope: An Art Auction for Palestine: At 7:30 PM, witness the power of art as we auction pieces that express hope and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Muslims4Peace (MFP) is hosting this fundraiser and art auction, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting a Palestinian organization affiliated with the Center for Islamic Life at Rutgers University (CILRU).
Additionally, we will support CILRU’s student trip to Palestine by allocating a portion of our fundraising proceeds to this important initiative.

Raffle Draw: Exciting prizes await after the comedy show, adding an extra layer of fun to the evening!

Community Storytelling: Throughout the night, we will weave in powerful stories of the Palestinian people, illuminating their struggles and celebrating their resilience.

A Cause Close to Our Hearts: This evening is dedicated to raising awareness and providing tangible support for the people of Palestine. Your laughter will directly contribute to making a meaningful difference.

Why This Matters:

Since 2017, Muslims4Peace has fostered community through laughter. This year, we’re channeling that energy to support a cause that demands our attention and action. We champion comedians who resonate with audiences of all backgrounds, and we champion the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.

Jeremy McLellan is a rising star in the standup comedy world. His work has appeared on NPR and PBS, he was recently honored as a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, and he and has completed sold-out tours in the US, UK, Canada, Dubai, Australia, and Pakistan.

Mohanad Elshieky is a Libyan comedian based in NYC who has been seen on Conan, late night with Stephen Colbert and Comedy Central.

Sabeen just released her first comedy album, Perfect Daughter, available wherever you listen to your music. You’ve also seen her open for Kumail Nanjiani and Hasan Minhaj to name a few. Sabeen has been featured in the New York Theater Festival, and she’s played the lead in the hit web series’ Codeswitched and Becoming America.

Nina is an Arab-American, Muslim stand-up comedian, author, and amateur boxer who proudly expresses her faith. A Montclair State College of the Arts graduate with a degree in media, she has performed across the US and internationally, opening for prominent comedians like Damon Wayans and Tiffany Haddish. Nina has appeared on The Food Network, TRT, and Al Jazeera, and currently stars on TLC’s “Match Me Abroad.” 1 In addition to her comedy, she is preparing for her first professional boxing match and is the author of “I’m A Princess Too,” a children’s book reflecting her own experiences, which also informs her stand-up.

Suzie Afridi is a Palestinian American woman living on the upper west side of Manhattan. When she was 14, her family immigrated to America. In her twenties, she worked for a bunch of startups (none went public which is why she still needs a bio). Then she pretended to be a professional tax accountant.

Support Our Work

Muslims4peace believes achieving significant impact in the community occurs when every member of the organization defines their unique role in catalyzing positive change.

Our growth and success is made possible by the support of our network. A network that consists of individuals all driven by the very same factor – the ability to bring about a change in the world around them. Our events, whether they may be faith-based or community service opportunities or even political activism, are methods in which we can portray our ideas to the world and bring about a sense of awareness and understanding. For this, we need your never-ending support.

A monetary donation of any amount will help drive us forward to continue setting and achieving goals of unimaginable heights. We want you to join the MFP family for without your support, we would not have accomplished all that we have in the past.
