What is the Matching Gift Program?
There are corporations that have established programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. When you donate to a qualified organization (such as SMC), the company matches it dollar for dollar up to a certain amount, depending on the company’s policy.
Step 1:
Check with your company’s human resources department to see whether it offers a matching gift program. You can also do a quick search here for your company.
Step 2:
Obtain a matching gift form from your company’s human resources office.
Step 3:
Follow your company’s procedure on submitting your funds and make sure to fill out the appropriate forms to ensure the match is donated.
